GDOT Eyes Four Peachtree Road Configurations

The Georgia Department of Transportation is evaluating four plans for the Peachtree Road corridor revamp through Buckhead Village, reports Buckhead View. The paper says GDOT is eyeing making no changes; creating a five-lane road with one bike lane; a 3/2/1 configuration with three lanes southbound and two northbound and a dedicated turn lane on portions of the route; and a hybrid of the 3/2/1 where the number of northbound/southbound lanes would swap at East/West Wesley Road, the paper reports.
