FROM BURGERS TO TACOS

That was fast. Just weeks after  Fox & Hounds Pub & Grille shuttered, Joel & Granot Real Estate's Eric Carlton snagged a Tex-Mex  flavored replacement. Verde Taqueria y Cantina has leased the former pub for its second Atlanta location. But finding a replacement wasn't too hard given that many restaurants were salivating to locate at  1193 Colliers Rd., Eric says. Eric was tapped by the landlord to find a replacement when Fox & Hounds suddenly closed in September after just renewing its lease for five years (it's owner Derek Lawford Ventures filed Ch.11 Bankruptcy in 2008 and emerged from it in March, according to reports). Within two weeks of getting the assignment, Eric inked a deal with Verde, which will continue to operate its first restaurant in Brookhaven. John Kimbrough with JCK Realty brokered the deal for the tenant.
