DOLLARS FOR DEBT

Invesco Mortgage Capital, Atlanta's newest REIT, is off to a fast start. The company announced this morning that its previously announced public offering of 9 million shares of common stock has priced at $20.75 a share.
 

This puts the gross proceeds of Invesco Mortgage?s offering, expected to close Monday, at nearly $187 million. We hurried to Midtown to snap Invesco's HQ at Two Peachtree Pointe. The mortgage REIT says it expects to use the proceeds ?to make additional acquisitions of residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities and mortgage loans, on a leveraged basis.? Seems like their timing couldn't be better.
