CHASING A RAINBOW

Carter has been hired to market the Rainbow Village Kroger shopping center in Decatur for an  asking price of $4.4M. Built in 1975, Rainbow Village is located inside the Perimeter at Interstate-20 and Candler Road, across from South DeKalb Mall. The center is 100% occupied with no debt. Carter broker Mark Joines calls it a community shopping center in the truest sense; he's marketing the center with partner Drew Fleming. ?Residents from the surrounding neighborhoods depend on it,? he adds. The retail corridor is slated for community reinvestment dollars and DeKalb County has indicated it would consider a tax abatement for the re-development.
