| Sometimes our headlines are quite literal. We sat down with a government official, Fulton County Commission chairman Dr. John Eaves, to talk about talent, travel, and SPLOSTs. Like many local leaders, John says he's a big supporter of the one-cent sales tax proposal to fund transportation issues. ?We believe that one of the main reasons companies are not relocating is because of the perceived and real problems with congestion,? he says. As officials whittle down the wish list to $8B, John says he supports the projects that aid transit, including extending MARTA to Cobb and a line that connects the 14th Street Arts Station to the Emory University/Clifton Road corridor. John, an avid traveler, who just got back from Brazil (if could've rode MARTA there, he would have), was recently named an executive consultant to TalentQuest where he will train mid-level managers at major metro companies on leadership. |
