While city officials were celebrating at the airport, our governor was in Gwinnett County, welcoming NCR to town. Tuesday marked the official opening of the firm's new HQ in Duluth. NCR?s retail line of business is already based there, and the company has opened both a global Center of Excellence in Peachtree City and a manufacturing facility in Columbus within the past 12 months. NCR, previously based in Ohio, makes technology for ATMs, self-checkout, airport ticketing kiosks, and other self-service machines. State and county industrial recruiters lured NCR with more than $100 million in incentives. The tech giant says it expects to employ  4,000 Georgians within five years.
