BEST INDUSTRIAL QUARTER SINCE '07

Jones Lang LaSalle's Daniel Fenton is refreshed from long nights crunching Atlanta's industrial numbers for Q3. And there's something to cheer about: Daniel says Atlanta industrial landlordsabsorbed 3.2M SF of space in Q3, the single best quarter here since 2007. Something to fear: That was on the shoulders of a handful of big box deals at a time when overall activity dried up during the summer. Similar to what Doug spoke about, Daniel says he's not seeing bread-and-butter deals happening in Atlanta. ?The summer was even worse than the rest of the year,? he says. Daniel also noted the rise of spec development in his report, citing Pattillo and IDI, which plans a 600k SF facility off Riverside Parkway. And like Pattillo, JLL sees manufacturing with the strongest user demandout there right now.
