As a popular high-performance auto parts dealer gets ready to move somewhere off I-20, its current home is facing the wrecking ball. Owners of 465 Memorial Drive, a string of low-rise warehouses that houses Barnett Performance, filed a permit with the City of Atlanta to allow the complex's demolition. What will replace it is a mystery at this point. It was previously reported by What Now Atlanta that the site was purchased by an executive with Atlantic Realty Partners—Ben Curran. That's the firm that owns such projects as Cyan on Peachtree and Azure on The Park. Calls to Atlantic Realty Partners were not returned as of press time. A 45-year-old Atlanta company, Barnett Performance announced on its Facebook page that it plans to move to a facility off I-20, but didn't give details.
