We believe the market has stabilized. That's how JLLs Atlanta chief Mike Sivewright laid out his firms belief that Atlantas office market is in full recovery mode. Mike says Central Perimeter was the winning submarket last year with some 1.3M SF of net absorption.(On top of bragging rights, the Central Perimeter also gets a new set of steak knives.) And no new development is helping tighten a market in much need of tightening. Industrial also celebrated its 11thstraight quarter of positive absorption. Thats leading to a mini building boom with 5.6M SF of new industrial properties under development.His comments came during JLLs state of the market breakfast last week at St. Regis.
