The Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors hosted its premier fundraising event of the year, the Annual Spring Fling, on May 18. The venue, for the fourth consecutive year, was Atlanta's own SweetWater Brewery.
The central location and expansive facility provided plenty of room for the record 450 guests who filled the space. Attendees sampled SweetWater's beers, sipped wine and snacked on heavy hors d'oeuvres while networking and winning raffle prize packages.
Proceeds from the fundraiser exceeded $50k, and were split between two great charities, Kate’s Club, which empowers children and teens who have suffered the loss of a close family member, and the Mary Hall Freedom House, which helps women from low-income families escape the pernicious grasp of poverty, homelessness, drug addiction and unemployment.
Chair and co-chair Jeff Shaw and Wes Vaughan, supported by the dedicated committee members, were integral to the success of the charitable event.
They all epitomize the Atlanta commercial real estate community’s engagement with the active local ecosystem of non-profit organizations committed to helping those in need.
