Calypso!

Last night we also went to Bethesda Row to celebrate the opening of Calypso St. Barth’s newest boutique. Guest of honor Hilary Phelps gave guests a VIP discount with a percentage of sales benefiting the United Way of Central MD, a nonprofit close to her heart. We snapped her flanked by blogger Christina Han and National Retail Federation’s Katie McBreen, and by Sarah Petusky and her sister Whitney Phelps Flickinger.

This is Maryland’s first store, one of 50 nationwide. Here, Calypso manager Donna Marinucci, Brian Boswell, and author and former Bisnow-ite Karin Tanabe.

The store sells mostly women’s apparel, but men came to support. Here, DLE Agency’s Richard Kanter, Jason Hodge, Jamey Collidge, and Michael Ledecky.

Launched in 1992, the brand is inspired by travel, culture, and the arts by American and European designers. Here, Veluxe’s Susanna Quinn is bookended by her step-mom and rights activist Caitlin Quinn and by QGA Public Affairs’ Lauren Pulte.
