Outdoor advertising firm JCDecaux has signed a 47k SF lease at the Empire State Building, taking up the 85-year-old Art Deco tower's 73rd and 74th floors

It’s not yet known how much the French firm paid for the lease, although Commercial Observer reports asking rents were hovering around $74/SF.

The French advertising giant, currently in 19k SF at 3 Park Ave,  bought the rights to build all new bus shelters, newsstands and public restrooms throughout the city, including 15 bus shelters along Fifth Avenue between 35th and 58th streets.

JCDecaux was repped by CBRE’s Snezana Anderson, Brad Needleman and Bernhard Weinstabel, while ESRT was repped in-house by Ryan Kass, Fred Posniak and Shanae Ursini and by JLL’s Paul Glickman, Jonathan Fanuzzi, Simon Landmann, Kip Orban and Harley Dalton. [CO]
