David Ehrenberg Bringing Navy Yard to Brooklyn Forefront

Placeholder

Two weeks ago we learned five ways in which the Brooklyn Navy Yard’s Dock 72 will be a game changer. Last week, BNY President and CEO David Ehrenberg (center, flanked by Greg Roberts, Tim King, Andre Sigourney and Rob Walsh) visited our friends at CPEX as part of their Leadership Breakfast Series to offer a firsthand look at all the newest developments at the Navy Yard. The Navy Yard is already home to the manufacturing of levitating tables(!), the metal clips used to launch fireworks off the side of the tallest building in Abu Dhabi, and the only camouflage print used by the Department of Defense. Their largest tenant, Steiner Studios, is the biggest film studio outside of Hollywood, and set to join the top five in the nation. That doesn’t even account for Wegman’s coming to Admiral's Row, the completion of the Green Manufacturing Center in the past couple of weeks, or the pending $140M modernization of Building 77’s 1M SF. With all of those transformational developments getting underway, it’s no wonder David is projecting to double the number of jobs at the Navy Yard by 2020.
