NYC's 7 Most Expensive Apartment Units

NYC's 7 Most Expensive Apartment Units

On Tuesday we learned that a Quatari buyer wants to combine units at 220 Central Park South to create a $250M apartment that would more than double the selling price of any unit ever sold in NYC. That news follows the listing of a triple townhouse at 12-16 East 62nd St earlier this month for $120M. Meanwhile, JDS and PMG’s supertall, ultra-luxe 111 West 57th St will add a fresh round of inventory to the upper end of the market once sales start, which JDS founding partner Michael Stern told us would happen by the end of this quarter. Michael downplayed the supposed glut in ultra-luxe supply at Bisnow’s NYC Multifamily Summit this March. “There really isn’t this big inventory crush,” he said. “If you count all the new units on the 57th Street corridor, it’s a few hundred units. You’re not talking about thousands of units.” Whatever the number, they keep coming. Here’s a look at seven of the most expensive ones to list or sell so far this year.
