Report: WeWork's WeLive Concept To Take Manhattan

WeWork is about to bring its WeLive residential concept to Manhattan. The co-working provider has been mum on details, but sources say it's bringing small apartments and residential amenities to the Rudin family's 100 Wall Street, where the company has been in talks to lease 300K SF. The Rudins last summer paid $7.7M for 34K SF of air rights above the building where the residential experiment would be built. The move comes amid growing concern in the New York TAMI sector about where to affordably house young employees. Yesterday, WeWork and partner Vorando announced evolved plans for a pioneering WeLive project in Crystal City, Virginia. [NYP]
