Jersey City is getting a huge new mixed-use development at 246 Johnston Ave on one of the last remaining waterfront development sites in the city.

Quadrum Global’s project, which it’s calling Liberty View, will cover 2.12M SF and contain 995 residential units, or as many as 2,265 with a rezoning.

Filings show that the project will have 860 parking spaces and 50k SF of retail space, Jersey Digs reports.

The plan includes numerous public improvements, including a 5 million-gallon storm tank, cleaning up a nearby creek and a new public city park. Quadrum picked up a freehold interest in the 7.5-acre site in April 2015.

The project will break ground in 2018 and be built in phases. [JD]
