Jason Vacker has been promoted to president and CEO of Meringoff Properties, Himmel + Meringoff Properties’ management and leasing arm, where he’ll oversee the management, leasing, operations, financial reporting and administration of the company’s 14-building, 2M SF commercial portfolio.

Jason’s replacing Farrell Virga—a 31-year veteran who announced his retirement earlier this month—and will be the third ever president/CEO in the company’s history.

This spring, Jason was recognized for his role in structuring REBNY’s Most Significant Retail Deal of the Year—a 36k SF lease for Foot Locker at 1460 Broadway—which redrew the boundaries of the Times Square submarket and forged a connection between Times and Herald Squares.

Jason joined Meringoff Properties in 2008 as a VP, and served as the firm’s EVP, director of leasing and, most recently, COO.
