This Week's NY Deal Sheet

JLL has tapped Valentin Stobetsky as a managing director to head its NYC-based international desk. Valentin’s relocating from Moscow, where he served as chief commercial officer for JLL’s Russian business and as a member of the firm’s executive board.

Valentin will lead JLL’s international business development for the northeast region. Valentin’s managed accounts for Publicis, BDO Unicon, Alcatel, Alfa Bank, AIG Lincoln, Millhouse Capital and Kaspersky Lab. Before joining JLL, he served as EMEA Real Estate Manager with Intel Corp, and as director of real estate for Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States for Citigroup.

SL Green has brought on Natasha Brown as a VP of leasing for a 10-building portfolio that includes 1 Madison Ave, 11 Madison Ave, 1515 Broadway, 485 Lexington Ave, 750 Third Ave and 521 Fifth Ave. Prior to joining SL Green, Natasha was an SVP at JLL for the past seven years, where she repped tenants and was involved in every aspect of commercial leasing.

Carl Hum has joined REBNY as SVP for management services and government affairs. He'll be a principal member of REBNY’s senior staff serving as the lead advocate on a broad portfolio of policy issues. Carl joins from Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC) in Washington, DC, where he served as VP of policy and programs.

Peter Fontanetta has joined Cohen Brothers Realty Corp as a VP of leasing. Peter brings almost two decades of brokerage experience to the new role. Previously, he held the same title at Trinity Real Estate, where he had worked since September ‘03. At Cohen Brothers, he’ll be involved in closing office and retail leasing transactions throughout the Class-A Manhattan portfolio.

Robert Derector Associates signed a 15-year, 33,600 SF expansion lease at 19 West 44th St. Cushman & Wakefield’s Robert Yaffa and Wayne Van Aken repped the tenant. JLL’s Barbara Winter and William Korchak repped the landlord.
