Yet another investment sales broker is jumping firms, with Paul Massey’s B6 Real Estate Advisors luring Cushman & Wakefield's DJ Johnson.

Johnson will be joining the firm as a partner and senior managing director, charged with overseeing the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Bushwick, Crown Heights and Prospect Lefferts Gardens, B6 Real Estate Advisors announced this week.

Johnson is leaving the Capital Markets team at Cushman & Wakefield, which he joined as part of the $100M Massey Knakal acquisition in 2014.

“I value the firm’s aggressive and disciplined approach to the marketplace and look forward to building and leading a team of professionals dedicated to client service and innovation within the investment sales industry,” Johnson said in a statement.

Massey left C&W in April and launched B6 two months later.

The investment sales and capital advisory firm will focus on the middle market, specializing in sales ranging from $1M to $200M. Massey has previously said he is aiming to hire 50 brokers.

Johnson has brokered $1B worth of transactions over the course of his career, according to B6.

There have been significant personnel shifts in the New York City brokerage world lately. Just this week, Newmark Knight Frank hired former Eastern Consolidated brokers Brian Ezratty and Ron Solarz.
