Who doesn’t need a little pep talk these days? We were on hand last night for the NYCREW panel discussion at First American Title’s Third Avenue office to hear some motivational words about how to position yourself in these trying times.

Cross the Bridge Career Coaching’s Kathleen Murphy, The Business of Leading’s Julian Sturton and moderator Jennifer Novack of Sousou Partners. Their words of wisdom? If you have a job, stay there, but continue networking in preparation for the end of this down cycle.

Kathleen, with Meridian Capital’s Laurie Shapiro, tells us that she’s still recovering from her October trip to Egypt. She’s heading off to Florida next month, but won’t be globetrotting again until next year, when she’ll go to Thailand. Laurie’s taking classes on African and Spanish art at MoMA.

Here are Sitt Asset Management’s Lauren Chung, former NYCREW president Anna Hertzman, and Ted Moudis Associates’ Lucy Carter. The event was Anna’s first appearance since the birth of daughter Matilda on January 11. Congrats!

Fidelity National Title’s Isabelle Pullis, TIAA-CREF’s Maria McHugh, and Chicago Title’s Patricia Lopinski. Maria just returned from maternity leave; her son Michael was born in September. Isabelle’s expecting her second grandson next month, but he’ll need quite a name to live up to brother Augustus, who was named after ancestor (and Brooklyn Bridge designer) John Augustus Roebling. (This is Bisnow’s baby issue, by the way.)
