NJPAC's One Theater Square Comes To Life

Placeholder

New Jersey Performing Arts Center officials say the One Theater Square residential and retail project is on track again, after financing was secured. The development has been on hold for some time, but now looks to be completed by summer 2018, NJ.com reports. Dranoff Properties of Philadelphia has been tapped as the developer.

Originally proposed back in the mid-2000s, One Theater Square in Newark has gone through a number of iterations since then, and multiple starts and stops for various reasons. The plan now calls for a 22-story project on 1.2 acres across from NJPAC, with 245 residential units ranging from 585 SF to 1,700 SF. 24 units will be affordable, and marketed as artist residences, though available to anyone who meets the financial qualifications.
