A majority of corporate real estate professionals saw their compensation go up in 2024, a survey from nonprofit corporate real estate trade association CoreNet Global and Ferguson Partners found.

Seventy-eight percent of participants reported an increase in their base salary between 2023 and 2024. On average, the increase was 4.8%, with a median increase of 3.8%

“As corporate real estate continues to play a vital role in business strategy and workplace evolution, the value of these professionals is reflected in continued compensation growth,” CoreNet Global CEO Scott Wiley said.

The 2024 survey respondents included 107 CoreNet members representing 99 organizations, including Fortune 500 companies. The survey was conducted in the third quarter.

The last time CoreNet and Ferguson publicly announced results from this survey was February 2023, when they reported salaries increased 6% on average between 2021 and 2022.

An industrywide compensation survey last year from RCLCO projected raises would remain flat in 2025, with average increases of 4.2%, roughly the same as in 2023.

“2026 will be where the real explosion happens,” a CRE recruiting CEO told Bisnow in December.
