CBRE Buys Forum Analytics

CBRE Group continues its acquisitions with the purchase of lead modeling and mapping solutions provider Forum Analytics.

The Chicago-based company was founded by Paul Still in 2001, and has more then 20 statisticians, analysts and programmers. Forum helps clients like Ace Hardware, Sephora, Verizon, Domino's Pizza and Carl's Jr., plan local, regional and national location strategies, RE Journals reports.

Proprietary tools include web-based visual mapping platform SIMMS Online; Optimizer, a market optimization algorithm that helps estimate unit growth potential; and Cannibalytics, a modeling algorithm used to estimate the transfer of sales between existing retail units. [REJ]
