Joseph Hotel In SoBro Takes Important Step Closer To Realization

Placeholder

The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency OK'd the design this week of The Joseph Hotel, a Pizzuti Cos proposal for a 297-room luxury property in SoBro. The Ohio-based developer is aiming to help meet demand for higher-end rooms created by the Music City Center, the Nashville Business Journal reports.

Part of the deal is that Pizzuti will provide permanent parking for the Nashville Symphony, which owns the land on which the hotel will rise; currently the site is used for Symphony parking. Pizzuti is buying the land for more than $7M, but will also pay for 180 parking spaces in the new structure. The hotel will be part of The Luxury Collection brand of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. [NBJ]
