The Landmark Sears Building In Santa Monica

Seritage Growth Properties, which owns the landmarked Sears building in downtown Santa Monica, plans to preserve the building's Moderne-style facade.

The company plans to make mainly interior changes to the building, adding restaurants, offices and shops inside, the Santa Monica Daily Press reports.

Seritage will also add skylights and facade features to the upper section of the three-story building.

The plans were discussed at a Monday night meeting of Santa Monica's Landmark Commission.
