In our continuing effort to eat our way around town, we have discovered Barnyard at 1715 Pacific in Venice. Here we snapped chef Jesse Barber, a vet of Tasting Kitchen, Summit Powder Mountain, and French Laundry, whose cuisine LA Times critic Jonathan Gold recently lauded as one of the 10 best things he ate in 2013 (specifically the risotto alla pilota). Jesse also recommends the octopus and daily changing pasta and seafood.
