Playa Creative Office Complex Starts Expansion

Vantage Property Investors plans to add another 49k SF office building at PlayaJefferson, a Playa Vista office complex occupied by blue-chip tenants like the engineering firm Arup and advertising firm Omnicom.

The firm has filed an application permit with the LA Department of Building & Safety for the proposed three-story office building at 12777 W Jefferson, which is across the street from the Runway Playa Vista retail center. The project architect is Gensler design director Olivier R Sommerhalder.

The completed PlayaJefferson complex provides 200k SF of creative office space, which was created by repositioning obsolete industrial buildings, according to Urbanize LA. The project features a light-filled, 50-foot atrium and lots of common gathering areas and outdoor spaces. A new five-story parking garage is underway on the northeast edge of the campus. [ULA]
