Paramount Studios Must Scale Down Proposed Tower

Placeholder

Paramount Studios has gotten the go-ahead from the LA City Planning Commission to expand its studio lot but with some concessions made. Paramount will not be allowed to build a 240-foot-tall officer tower as was part of its original plan.

The tower would have been built in the lot on the southern side near Melrose Avenue and Gower Street.

The LA City Planning Commission is recommending the height be limited to 150 feet, which is still taller than Paramount's famous water tower, according to Curbed.

The LA City Council must still weigh in on the plans. [Curbed]
