Westfield Corp plans to tear down the Promenade shopping mall in Warner Center to build a huge $1.5B mixed-use complex.

This is in addition to Westfield’s recently opened $350M Village at Topanga across the street.

The project, known as Promenade 2035, would consist of nearly 1,500 homes, two hotels and a 15,000-seat venue for concerts and events, the LA Times reports.

Westfield would need city approvals for the project, which would open in phases and be built on a 34-acre site.

Promenade 2035 has an expected completion date of 2035. [LAT]
