Lendlease has completed the initial mat foundation pour for Oceanwide Plaza.

The initial pour took place last month with Lendlease crews using 700 trucks to pour 785 tons of concrete.

The pour is a significant milestone for the development, Lendlease VP and general manager for LA operations Michael Concannon tells Bisnow.

Michael says the mat lays the foundation for the project "to go vertical and is the first major pour for tower one," the project's tallest.

The full foundation will be completed in four phases with more than 25,900 cubic yards of concrete, according to Urbanize LA.

Michael describes the $900M Oceanwide Plaza as an iconic project with three towers to be built on a 4.6-acre site across the street from L.A. Live and Staples Center

The north tower will have 164 luxury condos and a 5-star hotel. The other two towers will mirror each other and house 340 luxury condos. The complex will include more than 160k SF of retail. [ULA]
