Who'll Win The Super Bowl? JLL Says It Has The Answer

Plenty of predictions for this Sunday’s Super Bowl are being thrown around, but JLL has some of its own. Company officials are betting on the Broncos, and they say they have their own, ahem, evidence to back it up.

The Denver Broncos will come out the winners because of the city’s higher overall office vacancy rate, according to JLL.

The firm’s research shows NFL teams in cities with higher office vacancy rates have won the Super Bowl 60% of the time since it started making predictions in 2011. When comparing Denver and Charlotte, Denver’s vacancy rate is 13.1% and Charlotte’s is just shy of that at 12.3%.

JLL Americas executive chairman Roger Staubach (shown above left with his son, Jeff, JLL's president of the South Central region, and his grandson, Joe, at a Texas Rangers baseball game), also happens to be a former Hall of Fame quarterback. He says this year’s matchup will make for a “very interesting” game given the age difference of the competing quarterbacks, Cam Newton and Peyton Manning. Peyton is an "old" man of 39 years; Cam is 26.

JLL is betting Peyton will have a chance “to go out on top,” Staubach says.
