More growth news out of Pearland—CBL is developing a 60k SF office building smack dab in the center of Pearland Town Center.

Evergreen Commercial Realty president Lilly Golden is leasing the facility and says there’s big demand for office in the area—existing product in Pearland Town Center is 96% occupied. It’s a highly desirable location; Pearland Town Center has 1.2M SF of amenities (including 20 restaurants, 75 shops and a Class-A Marriott hotel) and it’s only 15 minutes from the CBD. Lilly says employers in Pearland Town Center like the competitive pricing, professional management and productivity of the mixed-use environment, and employees love the walkability and variety of amenities.

Earlier this year, Lilly and her husband (black baseball cap) took a trip to Nepal, and Lilly had incredible luck and timing to get out of the country one week before the tragic earthquake. She’ll need more of the same leasing up this new facility; she admits the timing of breaking ground on new office might feel off, but she’s hoping the Houston office market will be picking up steam again right when this facility delivers around the end of 2016.
