Houston, known for its thriving job market and lively cultural scene, has consistently ranked as one of the most active commercial real estate markets in the nation.

But as more people flock to the Bayou City, developers are noticing that tenant demands are shifting in favor of flexibility and convenience, making mixed-use developments that integrate elements of a live-work-play lifestyle more desirable.

Residences at The Allen, one of DC Partners’ newest developments along the Allen Parkway corridor, aims to bring its tenants something the city hasn't seen before: a luxurious mixed-use concept that signals a new era of urban lifestyle in Houston.

“Residences at The Allen is the first hotel/condo development in Houston in more than 20 years,” said Acho Azuike, chief operating officer at DC Partners. “It is the only luxury hotel/condo in a mixed-use development offering upscale restaurant and retail. No other luxury condos in the area can offer the same amenities to homeowners.”

DC Partners is an international real estate development and investment firm headquartered in Houston. Focusing on luxury high-rise residential, hospitality and mixed-use projects, the firm has completed nearly a dozen projects across Texas totaling 4M SF.

Located between Downtown Houston and River Oaks, Residences at The Allen consists of 99 units, including 22 penthouses called The Penthouse Collection at Residences at The Allen. This development will also be anchored by the Thompson Houston, a hotel featuring 172 rooms with a midcentury modern flair.

Designed with privacy in mind, the Penthouse Collection occupies the top six floors of the 35-story building, accessible by resident-only elevators.

“The Penthouse Collection now has limited availability, as there are only four homes left for sale,” Azuike said. “Residents are drawn to the exclusivity, privacy and unmatched services that the Penthouse Collection offers. This level of luxury is commonly found in major cities like New York and Miami, and we’re very proud to bring this caliber of luxury to Houston.”

The four remaining penthouses are situated on the 29th, 30th and 35th floors. With listings beginning in the mid-$3M range, the two penthouses on the top floor can be purchased individually or combined into a full-floor unit. The units on the top floor have 24-foot ceilings and expansive views of the Houston skyline.

Residences at The Allen offers services and amenities provided by the award-winning Thompson Hotel, including room service, a spa and a luxury pool deck with cabanas. Residences at The Allen also features a private residence lobby with 24-hour concierge and valet, separate from hotel guests.

Residents will also have convenient access to Buffalo Bayou Park and the property's lifestyle pavilion, featuring a fitness center operated by EōS Fitness, along with two restaurants overseen by Noble 33.

Toca Madera, a modern experiential Mexican steakhouse, and Meduza Mediterrania, an upscale Mediterranean restaurant, will occupy the rooftop of the lifestyle pavilion with outdoor dining options. In addition, there are plans for a mid-rise retail center with luxurious shopping and entertainment options as part of Phase 2 of the project.

“The Allen’s location is unbeatable,” Azuike said. “We are delivering units now, and the Thompson Houston will open by the end of the year. The Residences at The Allen encompasses the best of Houston in one place.”
