This week, Koelbel and Co. and Hemmeter Ventures launched Work Simple, a new work-near-home office project for suburban markets, according to a press release.

A key difference between Work Simple and other coworking concepts is that Work Simple will own its buildings, the release said. It will also focus on converting distressed properties in the traditional office market into private workspaces.

“Many workers can’t or don’t want to work from home anymore, but they also don’t want long commutes,” Work Simple CEO and co-founder Mark Hemmeter said in the release. “Work Simple is the solution for working NEAR Home, when working FROM doesn’t work.”
