85°C Bakery Café, a Taiwanese coffeehouse touted as the “Asian Starbucks,” selected Carrollton Town Center for its first store in Texas. The doors will open this summer.

The 85°C Bakery Café chain has more than 900 stores in China, Australia, Hong Kong, the US and Taiwan. Until now, its focus in the US has been in California, where it has 10 stores.

Three more stores will open in Dallas within a year, and Houston will see its first 85°C Bakery Café in 2017.

The Carrollton Town Center location will be about 7k SF and boast a 600 SF patio on its doorstep and that of its neighbors, Today Comfort and Daiso. Two-thirds of the café's interior will be a production kitchen, which will also supply future locations in North Texas.

NewQuest's Heather Nguyen and John Nguyen lease the 154k SF neighborhood center at 2540 Old Denton Rd.
