Hines' First Foray into Fort Worth: Chesapeake Plaza Purchase

Placeholder

Hines made its entry into the Fort Worth office market with the purchase of the 410k SF 20-story Class-A Chesapeake Plaza (on 14 acres along the Trinity River in Fort Worth’s CBD). The deal comes after almost two years of Chesapeake Energy shopping for a buyer of the 2004-era office tower. Hines Dallas managing director Heath Johnson tells us that Hines is thrilled to enter the Fort Worth market and looks forward to becoming an active member of the community. Pier 1 Imports plans to expand its presence in the building and Chesapeake Energy will scale down its footprint. The building is being rebranded as the Pier 1 Imports Building. JLL’s Todd Burnette and Pat McDowell repped Pier 1 in the lease.
