7 Must-Visit Dessert Spots In DFW

If Monday hit you hard and you’re craving some sweets, we’ve got you covered. Below are seven dessert spots in DFW worth checking out.

rise n°1

Location: 5630 W Lover Lane, Suite 220, Dallas

The shtick: Soufflés like you’ve never seen before.

If you’re a soufflé fan, rise n°1 is a must-visit. Whether your palate is savory or sweet, they have something for everyone. From marshmallow soup to herb and spicy sausage or classic créme brûlée, Rise has mastered the delicate art of creating addicting soufflés. Rise accepts reservations for parties of five or more.

Bisous Bisous Pâtisserie

Location: 3700 McKinney Ave, #150, Dallas

The Shtick: Macarons for days.

Bisous Bisous (meaning kiss of love in French) specializes in French-style pastries and produces handcrafted macarons and pastries daily. Owner and pastry chef Andrea Meyer left a successful corporate career as a project manager and embraced her passion, baking. While Bisous Bisous offers a variety of sweets, we highly recommend grabbing a Tahitian Vanilla or Salted Caramel macaron.

Emporium Pies

Location: 314 Bishop Ave, Dallas

The shtick: Pies for every season.

Located in the heart of the Bishop Arts District in Oak Cliff, Emporium Pies offers decadent handmade pies that vary throughout the year. You can enjoy them (mostly) guilt-free because the pies contain no artificial preservatives, hydrogenated oils, dyes or corn syrup. Emporium also has a second location in McKinney.

Kate Weiser Chocolate

Location: 3011 Guilden Lane, Suite 115, Dallas

The Shtick: Chocolate lovers paradise.

Owner Kate Weiser began her career as an executive chocolatier at Chocolate Secrets in Highland Park, where she created a unique style of chocolate-making. Her hand-printed collection quickly became a fan favorite among locals so she opened up her own spot. Kate’s chocolate is more than just a gourmet dessert, it truly is art.

Society Bakery

Location: 3610 Greenville Ave, Dallas

The Shtick: A fresh take on traditional baked goods.

Society Bakery was voted as having one of the Top Ten Cupcakes in America by the Ellen DeGeneres Show and has been featured on Food Network, Cooking Channel and in Bon Appetit Magazine. In addition to cupcakes, Society offers cookies, pies and an original savory menu. Society Bakery also has a location in Medical City.

Steel City Pops

Location: 2012 Greenville Ave, Dallas

The Shtick: Popsicles with a twist.

Steel City Pops is the perfect way to combat the hot spring, summer or fall days. (Or, who are we kidding, the occasional hot winter one.) Owner Jim Watkins always dreamt of owning his own restaurant, so at age 40 he quit his job and opened up Steel City. The mom-and-pop store (see what we did there?) makes popsicles in small batches from all-natural and certified organic ingredients. If you’re looking for a refreshing, light dessert, look no further.

Village Baking Co

Location: 5331 East University Blvd, Dallas

The Shtick: French, baked goodness.

Owners Clint and Kim Cooper provide foodies with an irresistible menu of delicate pastries. Originally just a spot for fresh-baked bread, Village Baking now offers baked goods from croissants to delicious mini chocolate truffle cakes, canelés and other irresistible French desserts we can’t pronounce.
