At Bisnow’s 3rd Annual State of the Seaport event on March 26, the Berkshire Group’s Steve Wood will fill us in on Seaport Square, a 1M SF mixed-use complex spanning two blocks at the waterfront with three floors of underground parking. While Berkshire’s rental apartment target market has been 25- to 35-year-olds, for Seaport Square, he’s planning to include a product especially designed for older empty nesters flocking back to the city. One challenge he’s constantly struggling with is the rising cost of construction materials and labor. At some point, he says, this will limit the amount of construction getting done.
