Where do business travelers dine on the road? The French Laundry? Ruth's Chris? Nope.
It's lattes, donuts and paninis that rank supreme. Certify, a popular expense reporting program, recently analyzed its data and found out the 10 most expensed restaurants. More than 5% of all expense reports included a trip to Starbucks (which is expanding in Baltimore), followed by McDonald’s. But tracked according to dollar amount, traveling execs spent the most at Panera Bread, $41.35 on average, followed by Jimmy John’s, which pulled in $39.64. (It's opening a new store in Harbor East.) That was followed by Chick-fil-A, where business travelers spent $22.61. It opened a new store in Canton Crossing last year and is opening a new store downtown on Pratt Street.
