Can You Guess The Most Popular Restaurant For Business Meals?

Where do business travelers dine on the road? The French Laundry? Ruth's Chris? Nope.

It's lattes, donuts and paninis that rank supreme. Certify, a popular expense reporting program, recently analyzed its data and found out the 10 most expensed restaurants. More than 5% of all expense reports included a trip to Starbucks (which is expanding in Baltimore), followed by McDonald’s. But tracked according to dollar amount, traveling execs spent the most at Panera Bread, $41.35 on average, followed by Jimmy John’s, which pulled in $39.64. (It's opening a new store in Harbor East.) That was followed by Chick-fil-A, where business travelers spent $22.61. It opened a new store in Canton Crossing last year and is opening a new store downtown on Pratt Street.
