A year after picking up a sprawling Cobb County office complex next to SunTrust Park, Philly-based Rubenstein Partners has revealed its redevelopment play.

Rubenstein plans to transform the 11-building, nearly 1M SF mid-rise Interstate North Office Park into a “walkable Class-A urban office environment,” complete with a new name: Pennant Park, officials said in an email.

Rubenstein officials state they will infuse $15M in capital improvements, including a new outdoor collaborative workspace, new lobbies, restrooms and buildings systems, as well as trails that will connect to The Battery at SunTrust Park and the national forest along the Chattahoochee River. Construction is expected to be completed next year.

Rubenstein paid $90M for the 67-acre campus last year. At the time of the buy, Rubenstein Regional Director of the Southeast Taylor Smith told Bisnow he expected SunTrust Park to draw more demand into the area.
