Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal is singing to the tune of a popular online streaming music service.

Deal announced Wednesday that Pandora is expanding its office presence in Atlanta and adding 250 jobs over the next three years.

“Pandora’s investment in Atlanta is a testament to the value of our highly skilled workforce and business-friendly environment for attracting innovative companies,” Deal said in a release. “With this expansion, Pandora will benefit from the strategic resources available to digital leaders operating in Georgia, as well as close proximity to our vibrant arts and entertainment communities.”

Pandora plans to hire for positions in product and engineering, sales, client services, legal and human resources.

The state's announcement follows February's revelation that Pandora planned to increase its office presence in the metro area.

“[Atlanta's] rich music history, combined with Atlanta’s diverse talent, dynamic startup culture and extensive higher education community make it the right place to grow our team. We look forward to expanding our presence in Atlanta and becoming a bigger part of the local community,” Pandora CEO Roger Lynch said.

It remains unclear where Pandora plans to house the new workers. The firm has leased 11K SF at 271 17th St. in Atlantic Station since 2013, but that lease is set to expire in November.
