We went to the Washington Youth Garden's 3rd annual Strolling Supper at Pepco Edison Place Gallery, with food from MK Catering and Zaytinya, drinks from Right Proper Brewing Co, music from Notes from the Underground and The Rungs, and fresh recipes from WYG participants. We snapped Yue Hwong with Renew Richmond exec director John Lewis, archeologist Alexa Pinto, and Forbush School's Andrea Picciotto.

WYG is run by the Friends of the National Arboretum (FONA), which uses the garden as a living classroom to facilitate hands-on science learning, inspire environmental stewardship, and cultivate healthy food choices for 4,500 DC students. Here, WYG program director Ulises Zatarain is flanked by two participants, or Green Ambassadors, Northwestern High School's Pedro Aviles-Gamex and MoCo College's Donte Foster.

A silent auction had exciting prizes, including a stay at the Tabard Inn, DC United tickets, and 930 Club gift certificates. Here, WYG's Morri Sands is bookended by National Arboretum director Dr. Richard Olsen and his wife, Erin, at PG Community College.
