Taste of the Nation!

Last night we went to the National Building Museum for Taste of the Nation benefiting Share Our Strength, which works to end child hunger in America through its No Kid Hungry campaign. The annual event partners with 100 restaurants and mixologists for a gastronomical night and a great cause. We snapped Lockheed Martin’s John Nelson, interior designer Susan Nelson, Aneta Large and Deloitte’s Scott Large.

Some of our favorite bites were Del Campo’s steak tartare in smoked oyster dressing, Graffiato’s kielbasa with broccolini aioli, and Art & Soul’s pastrami swiss egg rolls. We loved the dessert room's Sweet Lobby’s macarons and G’éclair’s green tea eclairs. Here, No Kid Hungry’s Steve and Ellen Miller, and US House of Reps’ Kelly Cotner.

A few chefs, such as Brian Voltaggio, Hugh Acheson and Joanne Chang graciously signed copies of their cookbooks for guests. Here, NIH’s Melissa Austin-Williams, DC Court of Appeals’ Nichelle Charles and Noelle Green.
