Rooster & Owl Pop-Up!

We headed to Mess Hall in Brookland for a special seating at DC's hottest pop-up restaurant, Rooster & Owl. We snapped sous chefs Russell King and Janelle Coles surrounding head chef and co-founder Yuan Tang in the kitchen overlooking the evening's diners.

Diners at Rooster & Owl enjoyed eight delicious dishes focusing on seasonal produce and drink pairings with each course of the meal. We loved the sweet pea-derived cocktail, aptly named The Peacock. Rooster & Owl will continue to hold pop-ups for the remainder of the year. In the meantime, Yuan and Carey are still looking for a permanent space.
