John Williams at Wolf Trap!

We went to Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts for its summer National Symphony Orchestra concert series performing the music of John Williams.

John Williams' iconic scores from such films as Indiana Jones, E.T., Superman and Harry Potter filled the warm summer evening. Here NSO summer concerts conductor Emil de Cou leads the NSO and Washington Chorus in his 11th season as NSO at Wolf Trap Festival Conductor.

Attendees got a special surprise in the second half of the performance when Darth Vader and other members of the 501st Garrison Tyranus came on stage to conduct John Williams' award-winning score from Star Wars, including the Imperial March.

The 501st Garrison Tyranus, a local group of Star Wars fans, greeted concert goers. The National Symphony Orchestra has made Wolf Trap its summer home since the venue opened in 1971.
