Food Tank Anniversary!

Last night, we celebrated Food Tank’s 2nd Anniversary with a special reception and dinner at Georgetown waterfront’s Farmers Fishers Bakers

It was the end of the first day of Food Tank’s 1st Annual Summit in collaboration with George Washington University. We snapped University President Steve Knapp surrounded by his wife, GW’s Urban Food Task Force's Diane Robinson Knapp (right) and Sticky Fingers Sweets & Eats’ Doron Peterson.

Through awareness and initiative, Food Tank seeks to build a global community for safe, healthy and nourished eaters, spotlighting environmentally, socially and economically sustainable ways of changing the food system. Over 100 guests gathered for the reception, followed by a three-course dinner paired with specially designed wines chosen by Senior Executive Chef Joe Goetze. We ran into our own Bisnow Dining reporter Laura Hayes with Kimpton Hotels' Jacque Riley and Elaine Chon-Baker.
