Angels of the Battlefield!
Wednesday night we went to the Four Seasons Georgetown for the 9th annual Angels of the Battlefield Gala. It was hosted by the Armed Services YMCA. We snapped COO Tom Landwermeyer, right, with Sodexo's Daniel McWhorter, Lisa Regina and Christine Janeczek.
Service members were chosen by their service chiefs for providing life-saving medical treatment on the battlefield, often under fire, and often while disregarding their own safety. Bravo and thanks to 2015 Angel SSgt. Chris Dixon, an Air Force medic who assisted in saving 18 lives while responding to a mass shooting. He's with Col. Becky Blackwell and TSgt. John West.
