We headed to Merriweather Post Pavilion for the annual Sweetlife music festival Saturday. It began in 2010 with only 500 people in a parking lot behind sweetgreen’s Dupont location, and has quickly grown into 20,000 people celebrating great music, healthy food, friends, and fun.

We snapped Lana Del Rey, who performed alongside other favorite bands as Foster the People, Capital Cities, 2 Chainz, Fitz and the Tantrums, and Bastille.

Federika Burelli, NFL quarterback T.C. Ostrander, super chef José Andrés, the Brunswick Group’s Natalia Moreno, and sweetgreen co-founder Nic Jammet. We liked the food line up of healthy, delicious choices including Andrés’ food truck Pepe and Luke’s Lobster, almost as much as the bands.

Founded in 2007 by three Georgetown grads, sweetgreen has become a local favorite for its delicious food and commitment to sustainability. Enjoying its blueberry and goat cheese salad: personal trainer Ingrid Nelson and Pew Charitable Trusts’ Meng Wang.
