Sugar & Champagne!

Last night we also went to one of our favorite events, the annual Sugar & Champagne Affair, at the Ronald Reagan Building. We love it because all proceeds directly benefit the Washington Humane Society and because there are delicious sweet and savory foods from 80 top restaurants. We snapped Accenture Federal’s Alaina Mohanco with Snickers and Timber.

Our reporter was too busy eating to snap a picture of the night’s organizers and hosts, Equinox restaurant’s chef Todd Gray and Ellen Kassoff Gray, so we threw in a picture we took of them at last year’s event, with the Reagan Building’s food and bev VP Don Shapiro, because they are so terrific.

We loved Del Campo’s smoked salmon ceviche, 1789’s oysters, and Blind Dog Café’s honey and ham dinner scones; there were even treats for the dogs. It was also a chocolate lover’s paradise as the top pastry chefs served cakes, chocolates, cupcakes, cookies, and gelato, such as CoCo Sala’s Latin Love Parfait.
