National Book Festival!

We went to the Library of Congress National Book Festival at the Convention Center, which had authors, poets, and illustrators in several pavilions. We snapped Doris Kearns Goodwin signing copies of her book, The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism.

Poets Marcelo Uribe and Coral Bracho discussed 100 years of Mexican literary legends: poets Octavio Paz and Efrain Huerta and novelist Jose Revueltas, all of whom were born in 1914. Festival-goers met and heard from their favorite poets and authors, got books signed, and stayed up late for new graphic novel, poetry, and film programs.
